WATCH: There was a 7.0 earthquake during NJPW Cup event

NJPW dealt with an earthquake during their New Japan Cup event in Sendai this morning.

The quake registered a 7.0 on the Richter scale and happened during a six-man tag team match that saw Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and Kota Ibushi take on Bullet Club members Yujiro Takahashi, KENTA, and Jay White.

As seen below, when it happened, the camera and arena visibly shook and the ceiling lights could be seen swaying. The match was stopped and everyone got out of the ring. After it, the show was stopped as safety checks were made throughout the arena. The delay only lasted about a half-hour and the show resumed. Ibushi won the match in under ten minutes.

Back on February 21st, NJPW canceled a Road to Castle Attack event in Fukushima due to an earthquake in the area on February 13th.
