Young Bucks and Kenny Omega speak out for the first time on their NJPW and ROH departure

The latest episode of wrestlers on the road ordering room service was released on the Being The Elite YouTube channel.

Towards the end of the video, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega spoke for the first time on their NJPW and ROH departure.

Before the launch of All Elite Wrestling, Omega was a top star for New Japan Pro Wrestling while The Bucks were the top stars of the tag team division in Ring of Honor.

Around the 18-minute mark, Omega told a story about how he created a video game that told a story for his feud with Hiroshi Tanahashi. When he first showed it to NJPW, they didn’t like it so he released it on Being The Elite. Once NJPW saw the traction that it was getting online, they wanted to use some of the footage.

This led to The Bucks talking about having a rough month around this same time with ROH where they felt like they were kicked out of the promotion. They all talked about the issues that they had with both promotions and it culminated at the Tokyo Dome.

The group then talked about feeling depressed about leaving NJPW. Omega pointed out that it was like leaving a girlfriend for a side woman and maybe he could learn to love the woman. After everything that happened, Nick brought up how they tried to talk with ROH and NJPW about working together but nothing came from it.

Omega talked about a bad business decision and how he took it personally that NJPW tried to create a new version of him with someone else when NJPW should’ve let everyone be themselves.
