Former WWE star Melina appeared on last night’s episode of Impact Wrestling to issue a challenge to Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo.
Melina’s appearance occurred as Purrazzo was celebrating her win in the Homecoming tournament with “Drama King” Matthew Rehwoldt (former WWE star Aiden English). Mickie James had a contract in hand to make the match between Purrazzo and Melina for the NWA Empower pay-per-view on August 28.
This was Melina’s first appearance on an Impact Wrestling show and Purrazzo will be making her first appearance in an NWA ring.
