During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, former WWE star Mickie James explained whey has no intentions on wrestling on the NWA all-women's show in August.

James, who will be working behind the scenes as the executive producer, said the following:

“I’m not a mark. I’m not going to book myself on top of my own show. Who does that? Everybody does that, don’t they? (She laughs). I don’t really have any intentions of working on the show because I really want to focus on the show, and I want the show to be a success. I’m going to be in gorilla on the headset running and talking, and doing all these things. I can’t perform that job to the best of my abilities and be out there wrestling at the same time. I feel like it blurs the lines.”
