The Rock comments on the debut of NWA Powerrr

The first episode of NWA Powerrr has been met with rave reviews and the show has already been watched by almost 150,000 people in less than 24 hours across YouTube and Facebook.

For those of you unaware, Billy Corgan’s vision for the NWA is to present an old school product with some new school mixed in. The weekly NWA Powerrr show takes place in a studio with a setup similar to the wrestling studio shows that aired on television in the 1980s.

The Rock seemed impressed with the show. He tweeted: “Congrats Jim, the boys, crew etc. Stumbled across this show last night and enjoyed it. I grew up in territories and started my career at channel 5 in Memphis so I have a lot of love/respect for small scale, crowd tv shows. Cool vintage feel. Keep working hard boys. Rock”

The Rock was not the only wrestling personality to chime in on the show. Names like Corey Graves, Bully Ray and The Blue Meanie have also praised the show:
