Billy Corgan stopped by the "My Mom's Basement" podcast to discuss the upcoming NWA Crockett Cup as well as his relationship with Harry Smith and the rest of the Hart family.
Harry Smith will be appearing at the NWA Crockett Cup. Corgan talks about his friendship with Harry Smith.
"Yeah, I do know Harry. I worked with Harry going back 10 years and I've stayed in touch with him through the years," Corgan said. "I like Harry a lot as a person."
"He's a very underrated talent and an absolute mountain of a man. I'm glad he's finally coming to NWA. It's something we've tried to put together before and it's just never happened. In fact, the last time we tried to put it together, he went to the WWE for as they say, 'for a cup of coffee.' So I'm very happy to see Harry coming to work with us."
Corgan on his relationship with Natalya and the Hart family:
"I think I met Nattie Neidhart at a Hall of Fame induction that I was at. I don't remember which one it was, but she was there and we became friends," he shared.
"For whatever reason, we just met and became friends. I was sort of kind of adopted into the Hart family, and so I know many of the Hart family. It's been a real pleasure to get to know them, obviously, arguably, the most legendary family in the history of wrestling, infamous and famous in terms of accomplishment going back, of course, to their grandfather Stu."
"Nattie actually gave me a picture of her grandfather, Stu, that is in my home. So when I'm having a bad day with the NWA, I sometimes look at Stu and just say, 'I don't know how you did it.' So he's kind of up there keeping an eye on me and the NWA."
Corgan additionally talks about Matt Cardona being the NWA champion, as well as his overall views on wrestling. The entire podcast can be seen below.
