Bully Ray: “Companies like GCW have no backbone because they stay away from the guys they know that truly can expose them”

NBC Sports Boston’s Steve Fall recently interviewed WWE Hall Of Famer Bully Ray. l talked about his involvement with the NWA, GCW ripping off ECW, WWE’s creative direction, women’s wrestling, and other topics.

Bully Ray talking about GCW:

“(Matt) Cardona got hurt and he couldn’t perform on a pay per view that was named after him. Personally, I think Cardona is ducking me because he talks a lot of shit on social media about how he’s this hardcore guy just because he wrestles in garbage bag GCW, which is one of the worst ECW rip offs I’ve ever seen in my life, and all of a sudden, he’s this hardcore guy. You’ve never seen Cardona in the ring with a true hardcore guy, a true extreme guy, masters of the art of extreme. Who have you seen it with? Nick Gage? Oh my God, please.”

“You had the CZW garbage bag wrestlers. You have the GCW garbage bag wrestlers, all trying to ride the coattails or capture some of the glory of what ECW created back in the day. Your company will never be ECW. Your wrestlers will never be ECW wrestlers. Please stop. Do something different.”

“Here’s the thing. These companies like GCW have no backbone because they stay away from the guys they know that truly can expose them. Nick Gage had the balls to show up at Starrcast with all the GCW guys. Mind you, I eliminated every single one. Yeah, Mance Warner got the best of me at the end of the day. Good job Mance. But I eliminated every GCW guy. You saw Nick Gage come to the battle royale. Did you see Nick Gage getting the battle royale with me? Why not? Because he’s a p*ssy. If Nick Gage truly wanted a piece of me he would have been in the ring. If GCW actually had a set of balls, they would put Nick Gage in the ring with me. It won’t happen. You know why? I’ll expose them. I’ll expose him for the frauds they really are.”
