Cain Velasquez to make his pro wrestling return in December

Cain Velasquez will be getting back into the ring.

AAA confirmed during Saturday’s Heroes Inmortales XIV that the former UFC Heavyweight Champion will work their show on December 4th. No opponent has been announced yet.

He made his pro wrestling debut at AAA’s TripleMania XXVII show in August 2019 in Mexico City when he teamed up with Cody Rhodes and Psycho Clown. That same year, he signed with WWE and only competed in two matches.

The first match being when he challenged WWE Champion Brock Lesnar for the title at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and then a tag team match at a house show.

Velasquez was let go by WWE last year due to budget cuts related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
