CM Punk and Cody Rhodes take on Twitter troll

Wrestling social media trolls can be some of the worst. Thankfully, there are the likes of CM Punk and Cody Rhodes to shut them down. Recently, Cody took to Twitter and asked fans what match they want to see him in come 2019. One fan answered by saying they’d like to see Cody vs. CM Punk at some point next year:

“Sat in too many meetings asking myself the same question…and since in the end, I am my own boss and work for the fans first… What is the one match for me you want to see in 2019? I’m just curious”

One fan then responded by saying that Punk is done with wrestling, but has no problem capitalizing on his name within the community. He then suggested Punk is rude to his fans at autograph signings:

Punk then responded to the fan, saying that never happened, before pulling up a screenshot of one of the fan’s old Tweets in which he is talking inappropriately about WWE star Mickie James:

“Hm. I say never happened. However YOU being an asshole to women on twitter seems to be a thing. Should probably detete that. Your account that is.”

The fan tried suggesting he “owned” Punk in the Twitter exchange, but Cody Rhodes stepped in to point out otherwise:

“You didn’t own anybody. You were embarrassed. Also, don’t apply for any type of major job where they check social media(90% of all jobs now)…some terrible sh*t here.”
