Five Lucha Underground wrestlers receive their release, lawsuits dropped

The lawsuit between wrestlers and Lucha Underground has been resolved.

Lucha Central is reporting that Joey Ryan, Ivelisse, Kobra Moon (Thunder Rosa), Texano Jr. and El Hijo Del Fantasma have been granted their contractual releases.

The lawsuit was filed against the production company behind Lucha Underground and the El Rey Network. The story noted that Texano withdrew the lawsuit and a settlement was reached with Ryan, Ivelisse, Fantasma, and Moon.

“I’m honored to say that we received 100% of the relief that we were suing to obtain and four young talented wrestlers are no longer bound by an unfair contract that prohibits them from taking full advantage of their talents at the prime of their career,” said attorney Andre Verdun, who represented the talent in these cases. “I wish them all the best of luck.”

Fantasma, Ivelisse, Ryan and Moon are now free to negotiate with any company. Fantasma is on WWE’s radar, Ryan will likely sign with All Elite Wrestling, Moon will continue with Women Of Wrestling and ROH and no word on what Ivelisse’s future holds.
