We want to send along our best wishes to the only and only former NWA/ECW World Champion and WWE Hall Of Famer Terry Funk. Funk had to leave Saturday night’s House Of Hardcore show in Philadelphia after he felt dizzy. He was scheduled to be in Tommy Dreamer’s corner for the main event. Dreamer noted that Funk has been dealing with some serious health issues. Funk, who probably should have not flown out to the show, got in the ring early in the show after he was advised not to by doctors.
He told the fans at 2300/ECW Arena that this might be his last night in that arena and he didn’t want to leave the ring but he wanted to bid farewell to the “greatest fans in the world.”
According to fans that were at the show, his speech came off as a final retirement. He got an amazing reaction from the crowd and the fans in attendance were all crying with Tommy Dreamer. Get well soon Terry.
