Former ROH Champion replaces Michael Elgin at NJPW’s Power Struggle event next month

As noted, Michael Elgin suffered a fractured orbital bone while competing in an eight-man tag team match against L.I.J. at the NJPW King of Pro Wrestling event. Elgin provided an update via a YouTube video that you can watch here. Elgin will need surgery to get the orbital bone fixed.

With Elgin needing surgery, he had to pull out of his scheduled match Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship at Power Struggle on November 5. NJPW has announced that former ROH Champion Jay Lethal will replace him and face Naito at the event.

Here is the updated card for the event:

— NEVER Openweight Championship Match: Katsuyori Shibata (c) vs. EVIL

— Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. SANADA

— IWGP Intercontinental Championship Match: Tetsuya Naito (c) vs. Jay Lethal.
