Former WWE star Ezekiel Jackson (aka Big Ryck) retires from pro wrestling

Former WWE Star Ezekiel Jackson (aka Big Ryck in Lucha Underground) informed the wXw promotion in Germany that his match on Sunday would be his last match in pro wrestling.

Jackson, real name Rycklon Stephens, began his career in WWE’s developmental system in 2007. There were some start and stop pushes during his WWE run but his time with the company pretty much came to an end after he suffered an upper-body injury in 2012. He was brought back in 2013 and wrestled on a few shows but had to take more time off due to another surgery. He as finally released from WWE in early 2014.

He appeared on a couple of TNA shows when they taped in New York City in 2014 before he signed with Lucha Underground later in the year.
