Former WWE Star Gurv Sihra Says His Lung Is Still Leaking Air After Collapsed Lung

Gurv Sihra of The Bollywood Boyz, known in WWE as Sunil Singh, says X-rays show a cut on his lung tissue is still leaking air, more than two weeks after he suffered a collapsed lung during a match. He is not cleared to wrestle or fly, but he can start working out.

Sihra gave the update on The Bollywood Boyz’ X account on Tuesday after a follow-up with his doctor:

“Quick update: Just finished my follow up with my ER Trauma Doctor. X-rays show I still have a cut on my lung tissue from rib impact which is leaking some air from my lungs. Obviously still not cleared for in ring or flying. However, I’m able to start working out, which is great.”

Sihra was hurt on Saturday, September 19, in a Pure Power Wrestling tag team match in Lethbridge, Alberta, where he and his brother Harv beat Shaun Martens and Sydney Steele for the PPW Tag Team Championship. He said the collapsed lung came from a routine move he had done many times, that he finished the match, and that he struggled to breathe and get to his feet backstage.

In his first post about the injury, he wrote that he was “lucky to be alive” and said the ER doctor told him, “You are very lucky that to be alive. You had angels watching over you.”

Sihra, 41, and his brother were in WWE from 2016 to 2021. They debuted in the Cruiserweight Classic and on 205 Live as The Bollywood Boyz before being repackaged as The Singh Brothers in 2017, accompanying Jinder Mahal through his WWE Championship reign.

Sihra also held the 24/7 Championship in 2019. The brothers were released in June 2021 and have worked independently since, including DEFY Wrestling, AEW Dark: Elevation and Ring of Honor, and won the WSW Tag Team Championship in Australia in 2025. They spoke about their WWE run in an interview with WrestlingNews.co in 2024.
