The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy) have captured their third set of tag team championships, defeating The Mane Event tonight at the House of Glory “With Glory Comes Pride” event at the NYC Arena in Jamaica, NY.
This title win continues a momentous week for the legendary tag team. This past Tuesday, on the special NXT vs. TNA Showdown broadcast, The Hardys defeated Darkstate in a “Winner Takes All” match to win the WWE NXT Tag Team Championship for the first time in their careers. With their victory tonight, they now simultaneously hold the TNA World Tag Team Championship, the WWE NXT Tag Team Championship, and the House of Glory Tag Team Championship.
The busy schedule for the new champions is set to continue through the weekend. This Sunday, October 12, they will defend their TNA World Tag Team Championship against their career-long rivals, Team 3D (The Dudley Boyz), in a Tables match at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view. That match is being billed as the final encounter between the two iconic teams.
