Indie wrestler “Hannibal” Devon Nicholson accused of stabbing referee during wrestling match
Independent wrestler “Hannibal,” real name Devon Nicholson, had a match with Carly Colon, formerly known as Carlito, at a recent show where Nicholson allegedly stabbed referee Lando Deltoro with a spike.
When Nicholson decided to go off script and attacked Deltoro, it caused the referee to suffer a torn artery in his head. Deltoro was sent to the hospital to get checked out. Nicholson did post a video of the incident to his YouTube channel, but later removed it. The attack can be seen here:
I’m not about “Cancel Culture”, but promotions need to STOP booking “Hannibal”, AKA “Blood Hunter”. There’s been numerous accusations of sexual harassment & several incidents of him legit injuring people. He’s a reckless liability that’s all about himself & getting YouTube views. pic.twitter.com/AfB2hc5LiF

Another referee, who was actually part of the match, provided some additional details when he commented on a Reddit post. He stated that after the cops arrived at the scene, he gave a statement because he thought this was assault. The referee accused Kevin Sullivan of telling him to “kayfabe the cops” to “protect the business” and that “everything that happens is a work.” He added that Hannibal was visibly unwell prior to the match.
Deltoro issued this statement on Twitter: “Recovering at home, still a big fuzzy and pain, yes lots of pain. But I’ll live. Thanks you all for out pouring of love and support. I am a firm believer that if you put good out into the world, good will return to you #downbutnotout.”
