Independent deathmatch wrestler John Wayne Murdoch was rushed to a local hospital last night after a fire spot went horribly wrong during the main event of Juggalo Championship Wrestling’s “Powder Keg” event.
Fire Spot Goes Horribly Wrong At JCW Event
Murdoch was a late replacement for an injured Effy in a six-person deathmatch that also featured 1 Called Manders, Matt Tremont, 2 Tuff Tony, Mickie Knuckles, and Mad Man Pondo. During the bout, Murdoch was sent through a door that had been set on fire. According to reports from the show, the fire quickly became serious and out of control. Other wrestlers in the match attempted to pat the flames out on Murdoch before he ran from the ring. The match was immediately stopped and ruled a no-contest.
Update On Murdoch’s Condition
Murdoch’s regular tag team partner, Reed Bentley, provided an update on his condition in the early hours of the morning. He stated that Murdoch was being treated at the hospital and is in “a ton of pain.” No further details on the extent of his injuries have been released at this time.
