ORLANDO, FL – Major League Wrestling (MLW) today announced “Machine Gun” Karl Anderson as a participant in MLW Battle RIOT VIII on Thursday, January 29 at the Osceola Heritage Park Events Center in Kissimmee, FL.

🎟 Buy tickets starting at $10 as part of MLW’s fan Appreciation Night at http://www.MLWLive.com and Ticketmaster.

This marks Anderson’s first-ever Battle RIOT, and the anticipation around his Battle RIOT debut is already running high.

An accomplished, globally respected wrestler, Anderson first broke out in Japan with a dominant run in the 2012 NJPW G1 Climax, advancing all the way to the tournament finals and proving he could hang with (and beat) the very best. Anderson would go on to hold multiple IWGP championships, carving out a reputation as one of the most dangerous, well-rounded competitors of his generation.

Yet for all his accolades, one prize has eluded him: a World Heavyweight Championship.

Battle RIOT VIII could be Anderson’s gateway to that long-awaited moment. The winner of the 2026 Battle RIOT receives a guaranteed future shot at the MLW World Champion, instantly placing Anderson on a collision course with the biggest opportunity of his career. With decades of experience, ruthless ring IQ, and a style that seamlessly blends grappling, striking, and brawling, Anderson enters the RIOT as a potential impact player.

And with 40 competitors entering at staggered 60 second intervals, strategy is everything. A strong number draw would be an advantage. A strong number draw and the presence of his tag team partner Doc Gallows in the match at the same time? That could tip the entire RIOT into chaos.

A two-man wrecking crew on a battlefield of 40?

That would be too sweet.
