Ken Shamrock to wrestle MLW star next year

Ken Shamrock is scheduled to take on “Filthy” Tom Lawlor at the end of January. This wrestling contest is slated to go down on January 31st in Atlanta under the banner of the promotion Ultimate Bar Brawl. As of this writing, ticket information has yet to be announced but it was noted in the announcement that Penelope Ford vs. ODB would also be taking place at this show.

The former WWE star made his in-ring return back in November when he defeated Gabriel Wolfe via submission at Austrailia’s Battle Championship Wrestling event. Later that night, he won the promotion’s tag team titles with Carlo Cannon. “The World’s Most Dangerous Man” tweeted the following about his return to the squared circle:

“It felt great to be back doing what I love at #BCW25! Thank you to everyone who came out to watch the show! This is only the beginning! #KenShamrock #TheWorldsMostDangerousMan.”

Shamrock last competed in MMA (mixed-martial-arts) when he lost to Royce Gracie at Bellator 149 February 19, 2016, at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas by first-round TKO. The finish of the fight saw Shamrock kneed in the groin and then to the head. Shamrock fell to the ground and Gracie landed a series of strikes to end the bout.

He competed for the WWE from 199 -1999 where he had a successful career as he held the Intercontinental and Tag Team Titles once.
