Several weeks ago SEScoops broke the story of a new startup professional wrestling promotion spearheaded by Jacksonville Jaguars owner Tony Khan, Chris Jericho, and Jim Ross. Recently, it was noted that several trademarks were filled for, including All Out, AEW Double Or Nothing, and more.
In regards to Jericho and Ross’ involvement, initially, it was believed they would be involved in ownership roles. However, Pro Wrestling Sheet reports that those reports were exaggerated. Instead, Ross and Jericho’s roles would solely be as talents. Also, stars such as Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks will largely be backing the promotion.
The Elite’s role includes speaking to talents who are, and eventually will be available to work for the promotion. The initial report suggests that the promotion will be ready to go live around late 2019 or early 2020.
