News on Global Force Wrestling competing with TNA for a TV deal
Since there are so few stations that have interest in wrestling, TNA and Global Force Wrestling have been in talks with the same stations…for the most part. TNA has the advantage though since they are operational and they have a history. It also helps that they have talent under contracts. A start-up like GFW would have a tougher hill to climb.
Spike TV not renewing TNA may have changed the wrestling landscape since GFW has to compete with TNA to get a TV deal.
Speaking of contracts, since a lot of the TNA wrestlers that are advertised for the U.K. tour are not under contract and some of them may not take TNA deals once TNA starts offering deals again, the company is looking at getting The Great Muta for the U.K. tour.
