Ricochet no longer wrestling at upcoming EVOLVE shows, replacement named

It turns out that WWE star Ricochet will not be working upcoming EVOLVE shows.

Just days after his opponents at events taking place next month were announced, the promotion, which has a working relationship with the WWE, has announced that he’ll no longer be wrestling. Instead, NXT star The Velveteen Dream will replace him.

The promotion made the news public on Wednesday when they sent out the following statement on their official Twitter account:

“Breaking News…. Velveteen Dream will replace Ricochet at EVOLVE on March 15th in Melrose, MA and March 16th in Queens, NY. Ricochet will still be at both events for Meet & Greets. Tickets and info at http://WWNLive.com.”

Dream is slated to take on Orange Cassidy in a singles match while at EVOLVE 123 on March 15th in Melrose, MA and set to team up with The Street Profits to take on Shane Strickland, Eddie Kingston & Joe Gacy in a six-man tag team match at EVOLVE 125 March 16th in Queens, NY.
