Syko Stu Has Been Released From The Hospital

Independent wrestler Stuart “Syko Stu” Smith has been released from the hospital and is now home resting following the incident at a KnokX Pro Wrestling event on August 23 that left him with serious injuries. His family has provided a detailed update on his condition.

Syko Stu’s Injury Update

In a statement posted to social media, Stu’s family confirmed his release from the hospital and detailed the extent of the injuries he sustained after being attacked by Raja Jackson, the son of MMA legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

“Stuart has been released from the hospital and is now home resting. He sustained a serious head injury and was unconscious upon arrival at the ER,” the statement reads. “His injuries include trauma to both the upper and lower jaws, a laceration to his upper lip, and a fracture to the maxilla bone, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of several teeth.”

A Long Road To Recovery

The statement notes that Stu has a “long road of recovery ahead” but that he “remains in good spirits.” His family shared their deep gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received. Jackson legitimately knocked out and continued to punch the unconscious Stu during what was supposed to be a planned spot, and is currently under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.

The wrestling world has rallied around Syko Stu, with a GoFundMe for his medical expenses. The full statement from his family can be found below.
