Tessa Blanchard Shares Private Messages With La Rosa Negra: ‘I’m Just Glad We’re In A Better Place Now’

Tessa Blanchard has taken another step to clear her name regarding past allegations of racism, publicly sharing private messages exchanged with fellow wrestler La Rosa Negra. The post, shared on social media this Saturday, was intended to show that the two women have reconciled and are on positive terms, despite the controversy that has surrounded their history for several years.

The situation dates back to early 2020, when the professional wrestling world was rocked by the “Speaking Out” movement and various other allegations of misconduct. During this time, multiple female wrestlers accused Blanchard of bullying and toxic backstage behavior. The most damaging accusation centered on an incident that allegedly occurred in 2017 during a tour in Japan. Blanchard was accused of spitting in La Rosa Negra’s face and using a racial slur during a heated argument. While Blanchard has consistently denied using the slur, the allegations had a severe impact on her career, leading to her departure from TNA Wrestling while she was holding the World Championship. She has since returned.

In an effort to put the narrative to rest, Blanchard posted a screenshot of a conversation with La Rosa Negra, captioning it to emphasize their current friendship.

“La Rosa and I are on very good terms and talk every now and then, usually about wrestling! Would love to get her in TNA one day,” Blanchard wrote.

The released messages show Blanchard initiating the conversation about the past incident, noting that rehashing the details is unnecessary while maintaining her stance that race was not a factor.

“Honestly, I don’t think it’s worth rehashing. It’s in the past, and we’ve both moved forward. At this point, it’s really no one else’s business. I’m just glad we’re in a better place now, and I’d rather focus on that,” Blanchard wrote to La Rosa Negra. “We remember things differently, and that’s okay. However, we both know race had nothing to do with what happened that night. At the end of the day, what matters is where we are now, not what’s behind us. I hope you keep succeeding & doing your best because I love to see it!!! ❤️”

“Hahahaha let me defend you in TNA!!!! Jajajaja i was talking with Moody Jack about story lines and the reel of the (in ring) came out!!!” La Rosa Negra replied. “We start laughing in good way and well…… just hoping u are well!! ✌️”

This isn’t the first time the two have publicly hinted at a reconciliation. In 2023, they released a joint Instagram post featuring a photo of them together, which Blanchard captioned, “Time, growth, and healing. A picture is worth a thousand words.”
