The future of Lucha Underground is bleak

The story with Lucha Underground is the same as has been reported for weeks, if not months. The future is bleak for them because they have yet to get funding for another round of TV tapings.

The El Rey Network would gladly pick up the show for another season but the problem is that it costs so much fund tapings and, at this point, the people who funded seasons two and three have not committed to the fourth season. Also, nobody new has come to the table with an offer to fund future episodes.

Aside from their production costs, it would be hard to convince someone to fund another round of tapings when ratings have been on a steady decline since season 1.
