Tommaso Ciampa pulled from WLW show, Adam Cole named as replacement

WWE NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa is no longer scheduled to appear at an upcoming WLW event.

Over the weekend, World League Wrestling, which is owned by legendary pro wrestler Harley Race, has announced that Ciampa has been pulled from the Night of Champions 4 show. The promotion issued the following statement and also revealed that fellow NXT star Adam Cole would be replacing him:

“It is unfortunate that @ProjectCiampa won’t be able to make it, as we were sincerely looking forward to seeing him here on WLW turf once again. However, having @AdamColePro appear in place of Ciampa is one that we are sure fans will love!”

The Night of Champions 4 event is slated to take place on March 9th with autograph signing starting at 4PM while bell time is at 6PM in St. Louis. General admission tickets start at just $15. For more information including how to purchase tickets, please click here.

It was reported this week that Ciampa is dealing with an injury, according to longtime pro wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The extent and severity of Ciampa’s injury is unknown at this time.
