AAA announced today that UFC’s Cain Velasquez will wrestle at Triplemania XXVII, their biggest event of the year.
Velasquez is in Mexico City for the Triplemania press conference. Velasquez recently said something about Lucha Libre not being real and that promoted AAA stars La Parka and Psycho Clown issuing statements saying they wanted to show him how real it is.
Velasquez is a lifelong wrestling fan and spent a week at the WWE Performance Center last year. He is still under contract with UFC so he would need permission from Dana White to work on the show as a wrestler.

Triplemania XXVII is scheduled for August 3rd at Arena Ciudad in Mexico City. The show will be headlined by Dr. Wagner Jr putting his hair on the line against the mask of Blue Demon Jr.
Velasquez took to Twitter to thank the fans and said he is excited to participate in Triplemania. There is no word yet what his role will be on the show.
