Vince Russo To Tony Khan: ‘Let’s Do Something That Will Blow WWE Into Oblivion’

Vince Russo has turned a public shoutout from Tony Khan into a direct and very public pitch for a creative collaboration, posting on social media to call for the two to work together with the goal of blowing WWE into oblivion.

The exchange began after Khan publicly praised Russo’s work in Juggalo Championship Wrestling, which prompted Russo to take to X on March 30 with a response that quickly escalated from acknowledgment to full-on pitch.

Russo started by confirming he had received word of Khan’s appreciation for JCW Lunacy before making a simple but pointed request. “Tony Khan, I got it confirmed on a good word that you really do enjoy JCW Lunacy,” Russo wrote. “While that’s cool and much, much appreciated, give me a follow back.”

He then shifted to the pitch itself, making his ambitions for any potential partnership abundantly clear. “Let’s talk some creative,” Russo wrote. “Let’s do something that will blow the WWE into oblivion.”

Russo also addressed the fact that despite Khan being aware of his controversial reputation in the wrestling business, the two have never actually worked together, framing that as an opportunity rather than an obstacle. “You’ve heard about me over the years, but you’ve never had the opportunity to get to know me,” Russo wrote. “Let’s give them something to talk about.”

Russo is best known for his run as head writer in WWE during the Attitude Era and his work in WCW and TNA. He has remained a polarizing figure in wrestling media in the years since and is currently involved with JCW. Whether Khan responds to the public pitch or moves to follow Russo on social media remains to be seen.
