Ring of Honor is wasting no time booking their latest signing Bandido in big matches.
It was announced by ROH this week that Bandido would take on fan favorite Flip Gordon in a singles match, which will serve as the main event of their Road To G1 Supercard event in Dallas, TX on January 24th. As of this writing, no other matches for this show has been announced.
In the announcement, the promotion touted Bandido as “the fastest rising star in professional wrestling in 2018” and that fans who subscribe to their streaming service, HonorClub, “will get to see much more of this high flying athlete.”
It was reported and later confirmed last month that the rising talent had signed with the company where he’ll start performing under the ROH banner this month. This deal will still allow him to work in Mexico as the contracts offered by the promotion do not prohibit their wrestlers from working there.
In the press release that was issued by ROH late last year, it was noted that this “will have an impact on the historic” event G1 Supercard. This is the big show co-promoted by ROH and New Japan Pro Wrestling, at sold-out Madison Square Garden in New York City on April 6th during WrestleMania 35 weekend.
Bandido is set to face PJ Black at the ROH Honor Reigns Supreme is set to go down on January 13th in Concord, NC at the Cabarrus Arena.
