Cody Rhodes recently spoke with guidelive.com to promote ROH’s Honor Reigns Supreme event in Dallas on February 4th. During the interview, he was asked about his experience in ROH thus far. He brought up his first night in the promotion at Final Battle last month and said that he was blown away by the efficiency and professionalism of ROH. He said that they gave him an opportunity to join them, which he noted that he is a fan of the promotion as well as The Young Bucks and Adam Cole. He said that they all have a friendly competition among each other. He added that he plans on making ROH his home for some time.
When asked about Kurt Angle being inducted into this year’s WWE Hall of Fame class, Rhodes said that Angle is a tremendous headliner and the greatest pure wrestler. He added that no one with an amateur acumen can ever compare to Angle unless they also have an Olympic gold medal. He noted that he couldn’t wait to see Angle be inducted. “One of the things my dad told me was the only real thing when it comes to the world of wrestling, the only real thing is the Hall of Fame. Maybe that’s because he was a Hall of Famer, but I’ll never forget that.”
