Ring of Honor will look into locking up one of its biggest stars to a new deal.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that RUSH’s contract with ROH is set to expire at the end of 2020 although an exact date wasn’t given.
This deal is in conjunction with his CMLL deal, which also expires at the end of 2020. It should be noted that ROH and CMLL have a working relationship.
If the current ROH World Champion decides against re-signing with both promotions then it would set up an interesting situation with the likelihood of him getting interest from other promotions such as AEW, Impact, and WWE.
RUSH won the ROH World Title when he defeated PCO in February at Gateway to Honor. Although the promotion has resumed holding TV tapings, RUSH didn’t take part in the tapings back in August in Baltimore.
RUSH has not wrestled since March when he competed for AAA. This was around the time the COVID-19 pandemic began across the world.
