It looks like Ring Of Honor has inked a former WWE star to a deal. PWInsider is reporting that 50-year-old Pierre Carl Oulette (better known as PCO) has signed an exclusive full-time deal with ROH. PCO will reportedly get started with ROH immediately.
During recent episodes of ROH TV, vignettes with a heartbeat monitor have been playing. This is likely a tease leading up to PCO’s debut with the promotion. PCO reportedly signed with ROH in the past few days after he finished up with MLW, and canceled upcoming indy dates.
In WWE PCO was one-half of “The Quebecers” tag team alongside The Mountie. While with WWE, PCO won three Tag Team Titles, having stints with the company from both 1993 to 1995 and 1998 to 2000. PCO also spent time in WCW where he was a one-time Hardcore Champion.
Ouelette retired in 2011 but returned in 2016 with The French Frankenstein gimmick and started generating buzz after a match with WALTER during WrestleMania weekend in New Orleans. Due to the change with his look and wrestling style, some long-time fans and wrestlers including Chris Jericho did not realize immediately that PCO was the same guy that wrestled as one of The Quebecers in the 1990s.
