Konosuke Takeshita challenged Bandido for the ROH World Championship during a backstage segment at the recent Global Wars Mexico event, setting the stage for this massive main event between two of the world’s most dynamic wrestlers.
Athena (c) vs. Thunder Rosa – Singles match for the ROH Women’s World Championship
The feud between “The Fallen Goddess” Athena and Thunder Rosa began when Rosa came to the aid of Rachel Armstrong after a post-match attack from the champion. After Rosa held up Athena’s title, a tag team match was made for Global Wars Mexico. When Rosa’s team was victorious, this championship bout was officially announced for Supercard of Honor.
The Sons of Texas (Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara) (c) vs. The Infantry (Capt. Shawn Dean and Carlie Bravo) – Tag team match for the ROH World Tag Team Championship
The Infantry earned this championship opportunity by defeating Top Flight in a number one contender’s match on the July 3rd episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling. They will now challenge the reigning champions, the formidable “Sons of Texas,” Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara.
Lee Moriarty (c) vs. Blue Panther – Pure Wrestling Rules match for the ROH Pure Championship
This championship match came about after the legendary luchador Blue Panther defeated Lee Moriarty in a non-title match at Global Wars Mexico. That victory automatically put Panther in contention for the title, leading to this official Pure Championship rematch being scheduled for Supercard of Honor.
Nick Wayne (c) vs. Titán – Singles match for the ROH World Television Championship
At Global Wars Mexico, the ROH World Television Championship match between the champion Nick Wayne and CMLL star Titán ended in a time-limit draw. Due to the inconclusive finish, a rematch for the title was immediately announced for Supercard of Honor.
