Jay Lethal captured the ROH World Heavyweight Championship at Ring Of Honor’s Best In The World 2015. The finish came when Lethal went for the Jay Driller but Jay Briscoe backdropped Lethal to get out of it. Lethal hit the move on his second try and then hit Lethal Injection and got the pinfall win. It’s Briscoe’s first pinfall loss in two and a half years.
Briscoe got up and shook Lethal’s hand after the match. Nigel McGuinness also entered the ring to shake Lethal’s hand. That’s when the show went off the air.
Lethal grabbed the microphone after the show went off the air and talked about being at the top of the list of champions. He said to be on the top of the list you have to be the best in the world and to be the best in the world you have to to hold the best title in the business. Lethal’s parents were at ringside. Lethal ended by saying that he loves Ring of Honor. He called it the greatest wrestling company in the world.
