Former Ring of Honor Champion Jay Lethal recently spoke with Brian Fritz of SportingNews to promote this Friday’s ROH Final Battle PPV. During the interview, Lethal was asked about a possible ROH and WWE partnership. Lethal said that at some point in the future a partnership between both companies is possible. He pointed out that a ton of talent from ROH has gone to WWE.
When asked about Roderick Strong going to WWE NXT, Lethal said that Strong is one of the greatest wrestlers in the world and that he is a machine. He said that a promotion needs him on their roster so he can help boost the promotion. “I was hoping he would stay because we have a locker room full of guys that are trying to make Ring of Honor as big as we possibly can.”
Lethal had a good program with Ric Flair in TNA back in 2010. When asked about the feud, Lethal brought up his great segment with Flair in which Lethal acted like Flair (the way he talked and his movement). He noted that he was so nervous when he did the promo and being in the ring with Flair made his hands numb. He said that it was nerve-wracking but an honor.
