PWInsider confirmed the Fightful report about Jonathan Gresham asking for his release on Saturday night during the ROH Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view.

It was clear that Gresham was not happy as he made his way to the ring for his match with Claudio Castagnoli as he didn't have his usual costume and he quickly left the ring without Prince Nana. Gresham was reportedly not happy about the way he was booked.

PWInsider cited several sources saying that Gresham was not happy about the outcome of the match and he had words with Tony Khan. One person said that what Gresham did was "ugly and unprofessional." There was a version of the story from Fightful that said Gresham "cursed out" Khan and another story being shared by talents says that Gresham used his ranking in Pro Wrestling Illustrated's "PWI 500" as a reason why he should be used better.

Gresham has deactivated his personal Twitter account along with the account for his TERMINUS promotion and before his match with Castagnoli, he was said to have asked for his release. There is no confirmation if his release was granted but it does not look like Tony Khan will be welcoming him back.

Gresham has not commented publicly but his wife Jordynne Grace took to Twitter to shoot down recent reports, without being specific on what exactly she feels is inaccurate or out of context.

Grace tweeted the following:

I promise that you don’t have to believe everything you read online.

95% of “dirt sheet” news is exaggerated, completely made up, or taken out of context.
