Kevin Kelly on tonight’s Final Battle PPV, WWE trying to raid ROH, Kyle O’Reilly vs. Adam Cole

Ring Of Honor commentator Kevin Kelly recently spoke with Kevin Eck of PressBoxOnline.com to promote tonight’s ROH Final Battle PPV.

During the interview, he was asked about the significance of Kyle O’Reilly vs. Adam Cole for the ROH World Title, which will headline the event. Kelly stated that this match does have incredible significance to him because he has respect for both athletes and for the title that they are fighting for and had a dream that one day that O’Reilly would wrestle Cole in the main event of Final Battle. Kelly thinks that they are at the absolute peak of their games. “I think this match is everything that represents Ring of Honor. It’s young stars, it’s incredible athletes, it’s a modern-day presentation of professional wrestling with some of the most hard-hitting action that anyone’s going to see.”

When asked about the rumored ‘talent raid’ of ROH by WWE, Kelly looks at as flattery. Kelly stated that ROH looks at the number of opportunities that the promotion have given to stars throughout the years, and for each departure, the promotion has suffered, they have found stars equal to or greater than those they replaced. “We’re very excited about where talent is positioned for 2017 and beyond, and we’re actively locking up key members of our roster right now. The more that our competition pushes us, the more that it drives us, but we’re motivated by our own goals, and we have long-term plans in place for taking Ring of Honor to bigger and bigger heights.” He stated that ROH feels very confident with their strategies and with their ability to re-sign and retain those who want to be with ROH.

Kelly also talked about Cody Rhodes making his ROH debut and more. Check out the full interview here.
