Sirena Linton has made her next stop official, and it’s in ROH. The former WWE wrestler showed up at Monday’s ROH TV tapings at WJCT Studios in Jacksonville, Florida, challenging ROH Women’s World Champion Athena in a Proving Ground match.
In the end, Linton lost and put Athena over. The episode has not yet aired. For those who may have never seen one before, in a Proving Ground match, a challenger who beats the champion or lasts the time limit earns a future title opportunity.
This follows Linton being among more than 20 wrestlers released by WWE in April. She confirmed her exit on May 2.
In a social media post at the time, she wrote about the departure, “It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I share I was part of the 20+ mass departures from WWE.”
Since then, she has been quiet about her future plans. When a fan asked during a Q&A on her YouTube channel whether she would head to AEW or TNA, she didn’t give a direct answer.
“Will you be going to AEW or TNA? You’ll just have to tune in,” Linton said.
She earned 2022 Second Team All-American honors on the balance beam and helped lead Arkansas to the NCAA national championships. She joined WWE‘s NIL collegiate recruitment program in 2023 after pitching herself online. She made her official professional wrestling debut on January 14, 2025, after training at the WWE Performance Center, and later appeared on WWE LFG.
