REPORT: Chris Jericho Has Finished Up With ROH

All signs point to Chris Jericho being done with the Ring of Honor brand after losing the World Title to Bandido at the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view event.

Jericho said this week on Dynamite that he was “going away” after losing the ROH Title. Fightful Select reports that the plan has been for him to move on from Ring of Honor largely.

The report states, “Chris Jericho is expected to largely move on from Ring of Honor after his feud with Bandido ends.” Jericho is set to embark on a new Fozzy tour.

Fans will still see him on AEW TV, as only one of Jericho’s tour dates is on a Wednesday, allowing him to continue working for AEW if he is in their plans. Bandido had been planned as a Ring of Honor champion for quite some time, a plan that was in place from the time of his return.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Jericho felt like it was a good time to take a break from TV.

Meltzer wrote, “Jericho is also taking time off. He has a Fozzy tour 4/17 to 5/12. But he has Wednesdays off. When this tour was set up, the idea is he’s be in for Dynamite. However, he’s feeling it’s the right time for a break and there’s no time frame known or that likely will be talked about until a “surprise” return.”
