Marty Scurll offered “WWE main roster money deal” by ROH

On Thursday, ROH announced that they will be bringing back the Supercard of Honor show for WrestleMania weekend in April.

What was notable about the news was the fact that Marty Scurll is being advertised to appear at this show. It’s been well documented that “The Villain’s” contract recently expired and he is a free agent while working some dates for both ROH and NWA in the coming months.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Scurll was offered a better deal than the one Matt Taven signed for but as of his writing, whether he had signed yet is unknown.

“It’s a great deal as it’s basically WWE main roster money while only working maybe 40 dates per year for ROH and certain unique perks.”

Taven signed a new deal with ROH back in September before his previous contract was set to expire in October. At the time, it was reported that the contract starts out at double the highest-paid wrestler in NXT and would see the money triple by the end of the deal.

Scurll is also working the main event of ROH Honor Reigns Supreme show on January 12th in Concord, N.C. at the Cabarrus Arena.

The contest will see La Faccion Ingobernable of Rush & Dragon Lee & Kenny King vs. Villain Enterprises of Scurll & Body King & PCO in a six-man tag team match take place.
