ROH star finishes run with the company

Colt Cabana finished up with Ring Of Honor at the Final Battle pay-per-view on Friday night.

Post Wrestling’s John Pollock first reported the news and he noted that it was known since September that Cabana was leaving the company. Dave Meltzer confirmed that Cabana never had a contract with them and he was working on a handshake deal. It’s unclear who made the decision to part ways.

Cabana lost to Alex Shelley on the Final Battle pre-show to end his third run with the company. He previously worked for ROH from 2002 to 2007 and again in 2009 to 2011.

There is no word on what his future plans are in wrestling other than he is the National Champion in the NWA and is scheduled to defend the title at their pay-per-view tonight.

Kelsi caught up with Cabana last month and the interview was crashed by MJF, who asked him about joining All Elite Wrestling. Check out Colt’s response below.
