Steve Corino recently appeared on Bill Apter’s podcast, Is Wrestling Fixed?, and during the interview, Corino was asked about the reports that he will be a coach at the WWE Performance Center in January. Corino stated that is still under contract with ROH until December 31st and then is working the NJPW Wrestle Kingdom show on January 4th as well as the event at Korakuen Hall on January 5th.
He noted that he will see what happens after those events and cannot predict what’s going on. “I can only say the wrestling world over the last few years has just exploded in a misfit of broken rules. We don’t know who is working with who and surprises are always happening and stuff like that. Who knows where my next step is going to be?” He added that he is not going to lie and say that he is not keeping his options open regarding his career. He is going to see what’s out there for him. He said that he has enjoyed everyone who has thanked him and wished him luck in WWE. Corino said that he will do anything that ROH asks of him do until that time and he made it clear that he is not saying that there will not be a future with ROH because they have been his home for several years.
He brought up that he was on the first ROH show and has been with the promotion for seven straight years. He loves ROH and the people that work for the promotion. “I wish I could tell you that we could break the internet with breaking news with stuff like that but Steve Corino is in Ring of Honor until December 31st, at least, and then NJPW for Wrestle Kingdom.”
