Tony Khan Has Streaming Offers For ROH

AEW purchased the ROH brand a few years ago to utilize the brand, talent, and tape library. Since then, there has been an ROH presence on AEW television in addition to airing ROH TV every Thursday night on the HonorClub streaming service and holding a handful of pay-per-view events each year.

Warner Bros. Discovery reportedly didn’t want the ROH brand. As a result, ROH could not get a TV deal with them and had to put their weekly program on a streaming service instead. There have been reports of AEW shopping around the brand yet again to networks. This is why Chris Jericho became the ROH World Heavyweight Champion to help with the negotiation process.

While speaking with TV Insider, Jericho spoke about the state of ROH and the ongoing talks for a programming deal.

“I think the fact Tony Khan put the title on me again is because Chris Jericho as the Ring of Honor World Champion, streaming platforms might pay more attention to it. I know Tony is working on that and has a couple of offers. I don’t know if they are offers he wants. I think he wants to try and expand those offers. I’m a thousand percent sure that he will continue to work to get a streaming deal because when he sets his mind on something, he usually makes it happen. He has invested fully in the Ring of Honor brand and product. I have no doubt there will be a bigger platform for Ring of Honor at some point.”

It’s unclear which the streaming services are interested in the brand.
