1990 – NWA/WCW Starrcade took place at the Kiel Auditorium in St. Louis, Missouri.

  • In the main event, Sting finally unmasked The Black Scorpion (revealed to be Ric Flair) after defeating him in a Steel Cage match to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
  • The Steiner Brothers (Rick and Scott) won the “Pat O’Connor Memorial International Cup” tag team tournament, defeating The Great Muta and Mr. Saito in the finals.
  • Lex Luger defeated Stan Hansen in a Texas Lariat Match to win the NWA United States Heavyweight Championship.

2007WWE Armageddon was held at the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

  • In the main event, Edge won the World Heavyweight Championship in a Triple Threat match, defeating the champion Batista and The Undertaker. This victory was aided by interference from the “Edgeheads” (Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder).
  • Jeff Hardy defeated Triple H to become the number one contender for the WWE Championship.
