Jay White is no longer with Impact Wrestling as Pwinsider.com reported today that he has departed from the promotion.
It was said that there is no current way to consistently use him on Impact programming right now due to his busy schedule with NJPW. This is similar to the reasons Jonah departed. Per the report, Impact would love to have him back when they can, but he doesn’t have anything scheduled with the promotion and that’s not expected to change in the near future.
As previously reported, W. Morrisey, aka the former Big Cass in WWE, also recently finished up with Impact Wrestling.
Impact brought in White last July as part of a working agreement with NJPW at the end of the Slammiversary event where he confronted Kenny Omega, Don Callis, Doc Gallows, and Karl Anderson. White later teamed with Chris Bey as he tried to recruit him to Bullet Club, which eventually worked. out.
His last Impact match happened at the March 15th Impact TV tapings when he worked a tag team match with Bey and they lost to The Briscoes (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe). He’s back in Japan now as he worked today’s Best of the Super Juniors Finals event where Kazuchika Okada, Toru Yano, Jado & Tama Tonga defeated Bullet Club (Doc Gallows, Gedo, White & Taiji Ishimori).
White will challenge IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada for the title at Dominion on June 12th.
