Davey Richards has announced his departure from Global Force Wrestling. Based on his tweet, it was a mutual departure and his decision was based on the fact that it was getting tougher for him to keep up with the demands of medical school and his job as a paramedic as he is on a path to becoming a doctor..
Richards joins Madison Rayne, Nick “Magnus” Aldis, Brandi Rhodes, and Matt Morgan on the list of names that have left the company this month.
Richards issued the following statement:
“Today I came to terms with GFW for my release. This story however is a happy one. I have nothing but good memories and great things to say about my time there.
Truth is – I love wrestling. But my goal is to be a Doctor. I have managed my time in doing both my school, my job as a Paramedic, being a dad, and a wrestler as best I could for as long as I could. But the demands as I head into the last couple of years of Medical School have brought me to a point where I have to choose one or another.
So with GFW’s blessing I have chosen medical school.
Thank you to everyone at GFW and it’s great fans for an awesome journey.
I can still take independent bookings on a limited basis for the time being.”
