Impact Wrestling has a working relationship with other promotions such as AEW and NJPW.
The talks about a working relationship between the NWA and Impact Wrestling are underway after they hadn’t talked at all in the past. Fightful Select reports the first sign of a relationship was allowing Kylie Rae to sign with the NWA.
Per the report, NWA Director of Talent Relations Pat Kenney, better known as Simon Diamond, was instrumental in making the deal happen as he has a great relationship with Scott D’Amore, who is currently the Impact Executive Vice President.
It was said Impact has been excited to work with another promotion and the indication was given that there could be further talent working between the two companies in the coming months.
Also, there is no animosity between Impact and MLW while Impact’s relationship with ROH is “as friendly as it’s ever been.” Impact officials are happy with the shift in the mentality of promotions working together.
Rae had worked for Impact Wrestling until she no-showed Bound For Glory pay-per-view in 2020 then retired from the pro wrestling business.
Rae made her NWA debut at the When Our Shadows Fall pay-per-view in June where she teamed Taryn Terrell to defeat Melina and Thunder Rosa. Since that time, Rae has signed a deal with the NWA.
