Backstage news on the TNA contract of former WWE star after Hard to Kill debut

TNA Wrestling is back as the promotion rebranded Saturday night at the Hard to Kill pay-per-view event featuring several debuts, including former WWE stars Dana Brooke, Nic Nemeth (Dolph Ziggler), and Xia Brookside.

The signing

At the event, Brookside competed in the Knockouts X-Division match involving Tasha Steelz, Alisha Edwards, Gisele Shaw, Jody Threat, Xia Brookside & Dani Luna, and was won by Shaw.

The promotion later confirmed that the former WWE star had signed with the company, which has been in the works for a while. Brookside is the daughter of WWE Performance Center coach Robbie Brookside.

In 2019, she joined WWE following her debut in the 2018 Mae Young Classic tournament and later signed a deal. She mainly wrestled for the NXT UK brand until her WWE release in the summer following the announcement of the brand’s hiatus ahead of the launch of NXT Europe.

Contract details

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that the two sides had been in talks for quite some time. Per the report, they were in contract as far back as November, and the promotion had extended an offer to bring her to the company.

The deal was done before the pay-per-view event, with Hard to Kill being the first date on the three-year deal.
