Impact Wrestling is doing their best to gain the fans trust again so that they can build their audience but they have a steep hill to climb. The company was recently dealt another setback in the United Kingdom as 5Spike made the decision last month to move the show to a later timeslot at 10 pm. This week the show was moved to 11 pm.
The 1980’s TV show “The A-Team” is now slotted for Impact’s old 9 pm timeslot and the show is doing twice the ratings that Impact was drawing. The Impact ratings in the UK are hard to get but Dave Meltzer reported that the January 12th show drew 143,000 viewers, their second best number since they debuted on 5Spike. The move to 11 pm is not going to do them any favors and it comes off as a bad sign because they would have kept their old timeslot if the network was happy with them.
The Impact UK Facebook page admin noted that it was a scheduling decision made by the network “where they take various factors such as audience demographics and other scheduling commitments into consideration when they move programming around.”
