Former three-time TNA Knockouts Champion Brooke Adams appeared on The Velvet Ropes with SoCal Val to discuss her career and the possibility of returning to the ring. Adams, who left TNA Wrestling in 2015, stated that she is interested in a final match to conclude her wrestling career properly.
Adams noted that her departure from the company occurred while she still held a top position in the division. She cited the lack of a definitive conclusion to her title reign as a primary motivation for a potential return.
“I feel like when I left… I left giving up the championship. I never had a rematch,” Adams said. “I left unfinished business… I would love to go get myself ready, go do it one more time, one more ride and finish out kind of the full story.”
When discussing potential opponents, Adams named current Deonna Purrazzo. Adams addressed Purrazzo directly regarding a potential matchup.
“Deonna [Purrazzo]… she is completely iconic,” Adams said. “We got little things in our pockets that she might not be ready for. So [Deonna], watch out.”
Adams also commented on the physicality required for a return match and referenced her signature move, the “Asstastic.”
“I’m gonna let her asstastic me though. That’s perfect,” Adams said.
Reflecting on her earlier years in the industry, Adams discussed her initial lack of confidence regarding her position as a champion. She noted that her stature and background initially led her to believe she would not reach the top of the division.
“I would have paid a million dollars and bet that I would have never been a champ,” Adams said. “So to grow to that level… it’s just incredible. I just want to represent short girls that thought they could never do it.” Click below to watch the entire interview.
